In 1990, ComputerFleet was established in Sydney under the name of MCM Corporation with the aim of arranging finance for medical, computer and mining equipment. The name was changed to ComputerFleet to reflect the amount of business being generated for technology equipment.
In 1998 ComputerFleet formed a long term alliance with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia to provide equipment finance products to the Bank's clients and partners.
Since the formation of the alliance the ComputerFleet business has grown and expanded beyond it's beginnings of solely computer equipment leasing to an international provider of finance solutions for an array of technology dependent equipment.
The strength of key relationships built by ComputerFleet allowed expansion into international markets to begin in 2000. With an impressive list of institutional partners our business is now truly an international success.
Recognising the company's ongoing diversification and expansion, in 2007 a new name, image, and brand identity relaunched ComputerFleet as equigroup. Still retaining the strength of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as a major economic interest, equigroup is able to finance a broad range of equipment for businesses large and small in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe.
